Browsers supported
AdviserNET is optimised and fully supported to be used with Microsoft Edge. You can access AdviserNET using Google Chrome version 48 or higher, Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox versions 42 or higher. Internet Explorer (IE) has not been supported on AdviserNET since 20 February 2022.
You don’t need any additional hardware to access AdviserNET.
Browser security
AdviserNET employs the latest in browser security. We have registered a trusted Certificate Authority (CA) issued security certificate that provides you with a secure 256-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS) encrypted connection. It encrypts all data transferred to and from your browser so you can be sure your user name, password and all your clients' information remains confidential and is protected from unauthorised people.
For the security to be effective, we suggest you use the most recent version of your web browser and ensure your anti-virus and anti-malware software is kept up-to-date.
To help protect your personal information, you should:
- close all browser windows when you’ve finished using the AdviserNET website or intend leaving your computer unattended for any length of time.
- not share your AdviserNET login credentials with anyone. Each user should have their own AdviserNET login.
- avoid using a shared or public computer as this increases the risk of a security breach.
- exercise caution in executing any untrusted software such as executable e-mail attachments. Use an effective virus scanning product with regular virus signature updates.
Email alerts to ensure your login remains secure
We’ll send you an alert via email when you login to AdviserNET for the first time on a new device (eg. laptop or mobile phone) or with a new browser, when you use incognito or private browsing mode, when you clear your cookies or when someone else is accessing your login.
If you receive an email alert and it:
- was you who logged in to AdviserNET, you don’t need to do anything
- wasn’t you who logged in, call us immediately on 1800 060 802 so we can secure your AdviserNET account. Someone else may be accessing AdviserNET with your login details.
